This renovation began in 2012 as a complete buildout of an empty tenant space in downtown Ruston. The project consists of a conference room, private office, reception space, studio space with library, and support spaces. As additional staff joined the team and more studio space was required, the office expanded to the tenant space next door. The addition includes a print room, material library, studio space, coffee bar, and support spaces. The spaces, in both the original tenant shell and addition, are thoughtfully divided into a spline of public and private functions and the division can be seen through material changes in both the inside and the outside. The materials were carefully selected and had to meet the requirements of Ruston’s historic district.
