Construction Administrator

Ruston, LA, USA


Yeager, Watson & Associates, LLC (YWA) is seeking a team member with 5-10 years or more experience for an immediate Construction Administration position in Ruston, Louisiana.

Applicants must have an in-depth understanding of contract documents, construction documents and specifications, a minimum of 5 - 10 years of experience in the commercial construction industry with an emphasis on construction management and building construction and proficiency in MS Office applications and Adobe Acrobat PDF management software.

Compensation is competitive based on experience and performance. Benefits include paid time off, paid holidays, paid retirement program, and performance-based year-end bonus.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or equivalent work experience preferred.

  • 5-10 years relevant experience in commercial construction industry with an emphasis on construction management and building construction.

  • Proven Architectural and Construction Project Management.

  • An in-depth understanding of contract documents, construction documents, codes and specifications.

  • General knowledge of materials, methods, and practices of Commercial Construction industry.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Self-motivated with strong work ethic.

  • Proficient in MS Office applications and Adobe PDF management software.


  • Reports to: Principal in Charge/Project Manager.

  • Daily visits to jobsites within the North and Central Louisiana region.

  • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

  • Interaction with General/Sub-Contractors and project Owner personnel.

  • Conduct field observations and prepare field reports.

  • Compile, evaluate and present feedback related to necessary changes in construction.

  • Attend scheduled project meetings.

  • Review shop drawings and product data submittals for compliance with construction documents.

  • Review General Contractor’s pay requests.
