Date
Est. June 2025
Location
Georgetown, LA
Client
Grant Parish School Board
Following severe tornado damage from Hurricane Laura, the Grant Parish School Board selected Yeager, Watson & Associates to design a new facility for Georgetown High School. The new school is thoughtfully organized into two distinct wings—one serving elementary students and the other dedicated to junior high and high school. The high school wing includes specialized lab space for Home Economics and dedicated classroom space for Agricultural Science, supporting a well-rounded and career-focused curriculum for students. A central spine connects the campus and houses shared core functions, including the administrative offices, library, and cafeteria. Designed with resilience in mind, the cafeteria also functions as a rated tornado storm shelter, ensuring safety for the entire school population. This new facility reflects both modern educational needs and community-focused design.
