Since 1987, YWA has served as a long-term design partner for the North DeSoto K–12 campus in Stonewall, Louisiana. Over the course of this multi-decade relationship, we have led the master planning and facility development of the 150-acre campus, delivering comprehensive improvements that span all grade levels and support functions. Our work includes the design of two elementary schools, a middle school, a new math and science wing, and a 9,900-square-foot athletics fieldhouse. In addition to new construction, we have completed numerous interior and exterior renovations, building expansions, and athletic facility upgrades. These enhancements include a synthetic turf football field, all-weather track surfacing, a new scoreboard, and updated stadium lighting. We also designed a marquee stadium entrance with integrated ticket booths and reconfigured the football stadium to switch home and visitor sides—adding a new home grandstand and press box in the process.
Beyond building design, our scope has extended to vital infrastructure improvements across the campus. These include a new wastewater treatment plant, expanded parking lots, a new loop road, HVAC system upgrades, lighting enhancements, and a comprehensive five-year facilities assessment to guide future development. The construction value of these projects exceeds $34 million. YWA’s continued collaboration with the DeSoto Parish School Board reflects our commitment to thoughtful, responsive design and our ability to support long-term growth through planning, innovation, and partnership.
